We are looking for a talented and experienced Data Architect to design and implement robust, scalable data solutions that support our customers’ business objectives. The Data Architect will play a critical role in defining the organisation's data architecture, ensuring data integrity, security, and accessibility across all systems and applications. 
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of data management principles, strong technical skills, and a passion for leveraging data to drive business outcomes.
Specifically, we see your time is spent:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive data strategy aligned with business goals and objectives.
  • Define data architecture principles, standards, and best practices to guide data management initiatives.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and priorities, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Design and implement logical and physical data models that support data integration, storage, and retrieval.
  • Define data structures, data flows, and data mappings to facilitate efficient data processing and analysis.
  • Evaluate and select appropriate data technologies and tools to support data architecture goals.
  • Establish data governance processes and policies to ensure data quality, consistency, and compliance with regulations.
  • Implement data quality controls and monitoring mechanisms to identify and resolve data issues proactively.
  • Work closely with data stewards and business users to define data standards and ensure adherence to data governance practices.
  • Design and implement data integration solutions to enable seamless data exchange and interoperability across systems.
  • Develop and optimise ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to move data between different sources and destinations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data from diverse sources and ensure data consistency and accuracy.
  • Optimise data architecture and infrastructure for performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Conduct performance tuning and capacity planning activities to optimise data processing and storage resources.
  • Implement data caching, partitioning, and indexing strategies to improve query performance and response times.
  • Develop customised training programs focusing on data architecture fundamentals.
  • Offer personalised mentorship sessions for hands-on learning and guidance.
  • Cultivate a collaborative environment to encourage knowledge sharing among junior members.
  • Establish strategic partnerships aligned with the company's goals and vision.
  • Foster effective communication and collaboration with partner organisations.
  • Monitor and evaluate partnership performance to ensure mutual benefit and success.

What will pique our interest is someone that might have:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Data Architect or similar role, with a strong background in data modelling, database design, and data management.
  • An extensive experience designing cloud-based data and analytical platforms on AWS/Azure.
  • Comfortable presenting designs to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strong leadership abilities, providing technical guidance to the delivery team for successful project outcomes
  • Knowledge and experience with any of the following: DataBricks, Snowflake, Data Governance (Collibra, Talend), iPaaS (Workato, Mulesoft), Data Visualization (Tableau, Looker, PowerBI), or Master Data Management systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
