The Director of Professional Services is a strategic senior management position responsible for overseeing and managing the professional services side of the business.

The specific job description may vary depending on the organisation's industry and specific needs. It's important for the Director of Professional Services to have a deep understanding of the company's services and industry to effectively lead their team and deliver value to clients.


Specifically, we see your time is spent:

Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and inspire a diverse team of professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, excellence, and innovation. Ensure teams are motivated, engaged, and aligned with the company's goals.

Service Delivery Excellence: Oversee all aspects of service delivery, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Continuously monitor and improve service delivery processes and methodologies. Implement quality control processes to ensure deliverables meet or exceed client expectations. Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for service delivery.

Customer Satisfaction: Build and maintain strong client relationships by consistently delivering exceptional value and addressing client needs. 

Technical Expertise: Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies in Data, AI, and Software Design and Development. Provide technical leadership and guidance to teams, ensuring they are equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to excel.

Resource Management: Effectively allocate and manage resources, including processes, personnel, budgets, and tools, to optimise service delivery efficiency and effectiveness.

Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks related to service delivery, including scope changes, resource constraints, and client expectations. Develop contingency plans as needed.

Financial Management: Work with the Ops and Commercial functions to ensure that service delivery is aligned with the company's financial goals and profitability targets.

Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging teams to learn from past projects and adapt to evolving client needs and industry best practices.

What will pique our interest is someone that might have:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Business).


  • Proven track record of at least 7-10 years in a leadership role within a consulting or professional services organisation.


  • Strong background in Data, AI, and Software Design and Development, with a deep understanding of industry trends and best practices.


  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients, team members, and senior executives.


  • Demonstrated ability to manage large teams and complex projects, ensuring successful outcomes.


  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with a results-oriented mindset.


  • Experience with resource allocation, budgeting, and financial management.


  • Proven ability to drive process improvement initiatives and implement best practices.


  • A commitment to quality, client satisfaction, and continuous improvement.


  • Strong leadership presence, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
